Chicken rice stall's owner

Before we move on to the 1st check point,me and Mandy had made a short interview with this aunty who sell chicken rice for three years at Beach Street. She told us that the safety and security around Beach Street is not that good. This is because along Beach Street have a lot of banks and the people are not that aware to their own safety. She told us if the level of safeness can be increased then our Georgetown city will be happier.

Local stall that sell newspaper and cigarette.

Our group leader Zoul Akman had made a short interview with this uncle .He told us the Georgetown city now is happy compared to ten years back because the economic had become better and his income had increase as well. But,if Georgetown city can attract more people come and visit then it will be more better.

An uncle that is repairing the shoes infront of other people shop lot and did not wanted to made any interview with us.

A few chinese stalls that sell praying things beside Guang Yin Teng.

A building that looks very elegent and expensive. There have Kebaya restaurant and Bababar bar and lounge.

Check point 1 - Gusto cafe
After we had walk for many lorong, finally we found out Gusto cafe as the map given had shown us the wrong direction but we stil manage to found out the location in time.We get our 1st signature from Ms. Vivian.

Fruits juice stall opposite Gusto cafe.
Before heading to the next check point,we decide to buy some drinks in this terrible hot whether and this fruit stall had attracted us.
A very kind and happy uncle who selling local fruits and fruits juice together with his son for almost 35 years. We had make a short interview with him.He said that he likes his work very much and feeling happy everday because he likes our Malaysia local fruits and its good for health. The prices for the fruits and juices are quite cheap and yet its still taste good!

Next,we going to our 2nd check point- Cafe 55. On the way to Cafe 55, there is a Gold Cup Mahjong shop with a quite interesting shop plate.

A plant that decorated with some cutted and folded angpao and also the foam wrapper for fruits.

We also made an short interview with two foreign tourists on what they think about Georgetown. They like the mix culture in Penang and all the traditional buildings. They will like to have more mural paintings of local artist to express their feeling and don't build anymore western building.Just maintain what we have in Georgetown.

Check point 2 - Cafe 55

We reached Cafe 55 quite early as I had been visit that cafe and know where is the location. After getting the signature from our tutor,we go walking around before moving to our last check point.

A very interesting and cool stuff that a mabuk uncle put it at the side of his motorcycle. My malays group member said that its a kind of engine that can help the motorcyclist to ride more speedy.

The mabuk motorcyclist told us a joke .He said one day he was riding on a motorcycle and he knocked on a car.The police came and asking him why you knocked somebody's car and he said ,''because I am drunk ma.''

Georgetown visit at Amernian Street with friends

28.02.2014 - Taking a try on ice ball before starting our wall painting project at Film Cafe.

This is my first time to tried out the 70's ice ball(located at Amernian Street) that my mother always mention it that how happy they were to have it during their childhood.Well, its quite juicy ,many variety of flavour and cold of course. We do enjoyed it in this terrible hot whether.

08.03.2014-  Armenian street and Jetty side visit with friends.

Local ice-popsicles and 70's ice ball ckecked!!!
Ice-popsicle (''bing tiao'' in mandarin)was my flavourite when I was a little.I am sure most of us were like that too.
Its make me reminds of what I always did with my sister and cousins when we were small. We always made homemade ice-popsicles with the flavour of durian, milo, ribena, orange and so on. Just filled inside a cylindrical plastic and frozed it.Done! Its one of our fantastic childhood memory.

Posting a fat bird pose with one of my crazy best friend called Mandy whose always called me
 Fei Niao(fat bird in chinese)

A wall just beside a road full with graffiti drawing of kids which is a games that we often play it during our school times.

Plants planted in a coconut shells and kakiak(old time slipper) hanging around the wall and roof.

When we walk by the Armenian Street,we heard some uncles chit chatting and laughing at their old time stories. Its an old shop that selling ceramics bowls and plates. They are cleaning the muds that remained on the ceramics bowl after heating. They told us that it was the only shop that sell ceramics as most of the young generations do not want to heir their business and just left few of them willing to continue work for it.They also told us that making soup using ceramics is really tasty compare to others and its also good for health and this is the reason why they continue to work that hard in this old shop.
Group photo before moving to the next station -Jetty side.
A very famous Jelly ice (Ohqio) located at Weld Quay is always my flavourite and also a new food that my friend recomended for me on that day before we leave. A MUST TRY -toasted bread with sweet corn filling.Thumbs up! Its too yummy that I forgoten to snap on a photo on it.The three sons of the stall's owner had resigned their work as a doctor and lawyer, and came back to help his father to sell this. From this, you can see how good and popular their bussiness is.
